At the Festival Symposium
The Festival Patron, Professor The Hon Dame Marie Bashir AD CVO, welcomed members and guests to the Festival Symposium. She reminded us all about the outstanding life and work of Rose Scott, whom the Festival honours, and the way her legacy lives on today.

At the Festival Soiree
The Festival Soirée was an opportunity to launch a new edition of Dr Anne Summer’s book Damned Whores and God’s Police.
The Soirée featured Professor Lyndall Ryan, a long-time friend of Anne’s, Anne herself, and Kathy Bail, from NewSouth Books.

At the Festival Luncheon
The Rose Scott Women Writers’ Festival was launched with a musically themed Luncheon, of Baroque Barramundi followed by Symphonic Berry Slice, beautifully decorated with edible flowers.
The memorable guest speaker, a performer and composer, was Elena Kats-Chernin.
